All Bath Royale seats are ergonomically designed and tested, with comfort in mind.
Our Executive and Kingsport seats are made of polypropylene, the most stain-resistant toilet seat material available. We use 100% pure, non-recycled polypropylene because it is stronger and produces a beautiful high gloss finish. Our seats are heavier and thicker than other plastic seats with 4 slip-resistant bumpers on the seat and lid, for extra stability. All Bath Royale seats will hold 400 pounds on the seat and closed lid. Polypropylene is non-porous, softer and warmer to touch than other toilet seat materials, but scratches relatively easily (avoid abrasives). The vast majority of people are comfortable with polypropylene seats and have used them in nicer homes, luxury hotels and Class A commercial office buildings.
MasterSuite seats (BR237-00 Elongated and BR283-00 Round) are made of Eurocast®, a high-tech polymer that is harder, heavier and stiffer than polypropylene. The finish is closer to matte than high gloss and is very scratch resistant. Eurocast® is more porous than polypropylene, so it breathes better against the skin (great for long sitting or people who perspire a lot), but stains more easily if colored liquids are left on the surface for long periods (for example on the underside of the seat where maintenance is often neglected). MasterSuite seats are susceptible to cracking in arid (very dry) conditions (covered by our 2-year warranty), or if dropped or struck with a hard object. Strong and stable, MasterSuite seats also have 4 bumpers and are very stable to sit on the seat or closed lid.
Keep in mind, all Bath Royale toilet seats are tested to 400 pounds, are a solid color throughout and will not chip, peel or fade. Our 2-year warranty is double most other brands, yet our care and cleaning instructions are less restrictive.
