Bath Royale Family toilet seats have a built-in child seat, eliminating the need for a separate child potty, messy toilet seat ring inserts and unnecessary bathroom clutter. Family toilet seats make potty training easier, help build self-confidence, independence and teach proper hygiene. Bath Royale Family toilet seats convert to a regular adult seat when potty training is over.
Bath Royale has 3 Family seat models, Premium BR631B-xx (xx = color code) fits elongated toilet bowls only and comes in 3 colors (00=White, 01=Biscuit/Linen and 02=Almond/Bone). The new Kingsport Family toilet seat is available in Round (BR720-00) and Elongated (BR721-00) sizes, with colors coming soon.
All Bath Royale Family toilet seats are made top-quality polypropylene, a light, relatively soft plastic that is non-porous, more sanitary and warmer to touch than other toilet seat materials. Bath Royale uses 100% pure non-recycled polypropylene because it is stronger (tested to 400 pounds), produces a high-gloss finish and is the most stain-resistant toilet seat material available. Our polypropylene will flex, but is nearly impossible to break. Unlike painted wood seats, our seats are a solid color throughout and will not chip, peel or fade. Polypropylene will last for years with proper care and cleaning, but scratches relatively easily, so avoid abrasives, brushes and hard sharp objects.
Differences between Premium and Kingsport Family toilet seats.
BR631B Premium has a "telescoping" lid that completely covers both seats when closed. The contemporary design is clean, but the adult seat is slightly more narrow (13.75 inches wide) than Kingsport. If your toilet bowl is wider than industry standard 14 inches, you may see the edges of your toilet bowl on either side of the closed adult seat. Kingsport has a traditional lid that stacks evenly on top of the lid and the adult seat is 14-1/8 inches wide which may be more comfortable for some adults. The child seat opening on BR631B is 6-3/8 inches wide (vs 5 inches on Kingston), which may be a bit too wide for infants or smaller children. BR631B has no magnet, when you lift the lid, the child seat stays down, ready for your eager toddler. Kingston has a magnet, so when the lid is lifted, the child seat lifts automatically with the lid.
Regarding Slow Close, all 3 components (lid, adult seat and child seat) of BR631B are slow-closing. The Kingsport lid and adult seat are slow-closing, but the child seat is not.
Both models are extremely strong and sturdy enough for adults to comfortably sit and move around on the closed lid. Kingston has 4 slip-resistant bumpers on the seat AND lid while BR631B has 2 bumpers on the lid and 4 on the adult seat. Kingsport has low-profile, stainless steel mounting bases that look nice and may be slightly easier to clean around. Both models feature 90-degree Quick Release (no buttons). Simply open the seat and lid to vertical position and lift straight up. The seat immediately detaches from the bowl making it easier to clean the nasty area between the mounting posts where urine and odor-causing germs collect.
